Our DifferenceWhy We're Different

Design vs. Development Companies

There are a lot of software companies out there. Some of them claim to be design companies, some claim to be development companies, some claim to be both, but in reality, most of these companies do not understand the difference between the two!

It would be like a General Contractor claiming to be an Architect “or” an Interior Designer – they’re just not the same.

Architects design the plans and blueprints for a house according to the desires of the new homeowner.

General Contractors coordinate sub-contractors to build the house according to the architect’s design.

Designers add life and character to the home after the architecture and construction has been completed.

From the above depiction, you can start to understand the different roles and their own respective values in building a home. Similar to building a home, design and development are separate roles when creating custom software and there is a definite distinction between the two. Most of the time (in a truly talented and well-organized organization), the developers are not the designers nor vice versa.
